Each piece on the program will take you somewhere new and unexpected. Michael Colgrass' epic masterpiece, Winds of Nagual, based on the writings of Carlos Castenada, pushes the limits of wind ensemble color and timbre, and guest conductor Reed Chamberlin (University of Nevada, Reno) closes the concert with Roberto Sierra’s “Tumbao” from Sinfonia No. 3.
