Wind Ensemble & Studio Jazz Orchestra "Real Cool!"

  • UMass Fine Arts Center (map)

The Studio Jazz Orchestra opens the concert, under the direction of Prof. Jeff Holmes. The Wind Ensemble takes the stage for the second half to premiere a newly commissioned work by composer David Biedenbender (his first symphony for winds!) and perform Bernstein's tour-de-force Symphonic Dances from West Side Story. What a COOL way to end the season!
